The new, permanent office space for SouthStar CDC has been fully furnished after several months of custom build-out and transitioning to the space in the East Atlanta Village. Former SouthStar CDC Board member Jane Hayes worked with her employer, Akzo Nobel, to attain donated furnisgings and equipment for the office. Akzo Nobel has made financial investments in SouthStar CDC through thier employee matching gifts program. Said current Board member and Projects Chair Scott Jones, "This donation empowers SouthStar CDC with an integrated and comprehensive professional office environment, and for that we are grateful." Jones then collapsed into a comfortable desk chair after having both loaded and unloaded the lion's share of the items during this move.
